Perth.. it was

Hello there. I am still on MC (yes, got 2 weeks MC due to miscarriage) but I am positive that I am going to the office tomorrow. Some pending job to be completed. Plus, the new semester has just begun so I might as well go and say "Hi" to the new students of mine. Yeah we don't do much in the first week. :))

After 5 days of resting, I would say that I feel so much better. Alhamdulillah for that. and emotion wise, I guess I am a-okay now. I cannot deny the fact that I tend to be over sensitive looking at pregnancy-related posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram but I am convinced that Allah has a better plan for me. I believe in Him. InsyaAllah. May Allah grant me with the courage and strength to endure this phase.

Anyway, looking at the title of the post, I guess you guys can guess what this post is gonna be about. he he. Yes, we went to Perth last November. It was an impromptu getaway as we bought the tickets less than a month prior to the departure and started planning things in that remaining time. Man, we did not do a mistake by choosing Perth as our destination as we totally enjoyed the moments there. Everything was what I've imagined except for it is not really a destination for shopaholic like me. ;p But, they do have shopping complexes but most of them carry local Australian brands.

We boarded the flight on Thursday 8 November 2012, 1150 local time via AirAsiaX: Everyone Can Fly. Safely arrived at around 6 plus local time. FYI, there is no time difference between Perth and Msia so no calculation needed here. Upon arrival, we had our subuh prayer first before settling our car rental arrangement. Rented a Toyota corolla hatchback for 2 days. The rest of the trip, we were on public transportation. We r adventurous like that. Hehe
On the first day, we went to buy food for breakfast at Danish Patisserie before continuing the journey to Caversham Wildlife Park. Spent good 2-3 hours there and then headed to Margaret River Chocolate Factory to feast our eyes. Did not buy anything there. Our next destination was Sullivan's Hotel, our choice of hotel for the entire stay. Checked in and zoomed to the bed. Freaking tired.
The second day was our most awaited events! Husband drove for 2 hrs to go to Nambung National Park, where Pinnacles Desert is. Subhanallah. The view is simply breathtaking equipped with the cold wind. Purfect!! Took lotsa pics there before going to the Lancelin sand dunes. We did not really enjoy the sand dunes as our sand boards were not working properly. Poor us. But never mind we did not want it to spoil our mood thus we decided to leave the place, returned the board and drove to one shopping complex on our way to the hotel. At night, we had dinner at the famous Cicerellos Best Fish n Chips in town. It was really good I tell u. Worth every penny. Totally enjoyed the food there and the crowd was bearable as well at night as compared to the daytime.
The third day there, we started our day very early as we had planned to go to Kings Park. It was only walking distance from our hotel. We really live the views there. So beautiful and so clean. It was nothing like what we have in our country. After we were done visiting Kings Park, we returned our rented car to the nearby axis office. Boarded the train to Fremantle afterwards. We were at Fremantle for the souvenirs!! I love shopping for souvenirs :))) yes, managed to buy stuff for family n friends. Later, we agreed to have lunch at Kaili's. Oh my! So many people were there during lunch time. Had to wait for some times looking for vacant seats. Thank God managed to secure the place to hv our lunch. We could see many Malaysians were there as well. Or could it be Indonesians? Yeah could be. We did not really enjoy our food as it felt suffocated there. Too many people and some were loitering around looking for the empty seats. Terrible. so inconvenient as compared to the previous night. Again we back off from the place. Quickly finished the food n left. Went walking ard Fremantle specifically the beach there. it was so windy n cold. Could not really stand the cold weather as I was not feeling well. U tell me, how could someone be sick during the vacation. Oh my. It was me. Poor me. Had cold n fever 2 days before our departure. :(((
the fourth day, we went to Rottnest Island. It is one of the reserved islands where no vehicles are allowed in the island. The main modes of transportation on the island are bikes and shuttles. So u can ride a bike or u can opt to ride the shuttle. seriously we really enjoyed our time there. We rode the bikes for almost 10 km or more. there were moments where we had to walk our bikes up n down the road.
The itinerary for the final day was to stroll around the Perth city and our first destination was the Harbour Town. It is a factory outlet selling most of the Australian brand products. I had nothing specific to be bought but we spent time looking for SIL's handbag and wallet for her wedding. Found them at Kate Hill's outlet. Went to cotton on and husband bought t shirts for his siblings and my brother. I, on the other hand managed to grab a mint sling at Kate Hill. Yippee Yeay! Hehe. Me n shopping are inseparable. Before we left the place, we had so called brunch at one kebab restaurant there. So far I think I have enjoyed kebabs sold at other places than Malaysia. I don't know why. Maybe because of the generous portion of veges and the beef I guess. Hehe. I can eat kebab all day long!! After Harbour Town, off we went to Hay St.actually I've been searching high n low for the Moogoo's eczema cream for my friends. They said the cream is good. Thank God I managed to get them at the drugstore at Hay Street. And then jalan2 a bit more, got tired and rode the bus to our hotel. Stopped by to have the famous churros. Too me it was so so. Am not a fan. Hehe. Too much exaggeration from blogs. Hihi. Our last destination of the day was the Bell Tower. It was I who insisted to go there to at least snap pics as proof that we ve been to Perth. Chewah. all in all, we really enjoyed our days there. Most of our evenings there were spent looking for food as the shops there close really early which is at 5pm. Nights were spent resting and uploading pics on IG. Hehe.
