Eid 2014

Happy Eid Mubarak all! Let's forgive n forget. We went back to our hometown for raya and it was Reallly great spending raya with our loved ones back home. Syukur for that n now we r back in Sharjah. Sob...sob I wish the holiday is longer heeee. But never mind life must go on. As for Nuha, it's her first raya and I must say that I was the one who was so excited prepping for her. Haha. obviously more budget was spent on her clothes, shoes, headbands and etc etc. In fact she even got new sleep suits for raya. God bless u lil girl.

On another note, she turned 8mo on the first day of Raya but poor baby she was extremely tired and definitely sleep deprived and was caught by jetlag bug. She only slept for almost 2 hours in total during the journey hence the crankiness throughout the day. Though she has tried her best to "entertain" the crowd which consists of her beloved grandparents together with her uncles n aunties. Good job darling! we spent the first day of raya at abang's place in Cheras before making a move to visit paklang's place at Bukit Sentosa,Rawang. Ate a lot there. Nasi dagang lomang lontong kuah kacang n the list goes. Hehe. later we headed back to in laws place at Sabak Bernam where we continued raya session and that was inclusive of nonstop eating raya food n nonraya food cooked with love by Mak n Abah. Thank you! Ok next up will b raya in kelate pulak . My girl is calling gtg

MH 17

It was a heartbreaking news that somehow I wished it was not true. Deepest condolences goes to all 295 passengers and crews on board MH 17. The plane was believed to be shot down and went down in Eastern Ukraine. My husband and I were in the midst of our Iftar when my cousin in Malaysia whatsapped the news about the incident.   I was telling my husband that this could b some kind of joke as obviously we are still not over MH370 incident. I repeatedly asking my cousin whether the news was a real one or maybe someone was faking the news but Allah knows best. It was a red one. As usual I had goosebumps all over and just could not concentrate eveb during my Maghrib prayer my mind was wandering thinking about the tragic incident. I pray to Allah that those innocent lives who were killed in the incident will be granted the highest of Jannah (for Muslims) and rested in peace for the rest.

7mo old baby!

Like, seriously mommy? Alhamdulillah Nuha Zareera turned 7mo old on Saturday 28/6. Ohh time does fly. So quick that I wish I could press the pause button. 😂

This little girl really keeps me busy during the daytime. Thankfully I have my time off at nights when her daddy is around. She loves all the attention given to her esp when both mommy n daddy are seated around her. We could see the excitement in her eyes! Now that she has grown cleverer, and she knows that mommy or daddy will put and end to any of her requests listening to her cries, man, she is utilizing her skills well I would say. She refuses the stroller. not completely but she could not take it for a long period of time. She would attempt to sit down on the maxi cosi and not lying on her back to show signal that she wants to b carried.
Mealtimes outside is quite challenging now that she would try to grab anything that is near n reachable. ie plates, the cutleries n OUR food! Bahaha.
She enjoys her mommy plays "joker" over daddy. kalo daddy does the same thingwith mommy sometimes it could leaf to her crying pulak. Yeah. Mommy power.   Hehehe

Looks more n more like daddy. I've been getting this a lot. It's ok sojuk katenye if girl looks like the daddy,no?

Attempt to crawl still x bjaye at this point of time. But she has started lifting her body a lot but I guess she still needs time to figure out how to coordinate the movements of hands n legs n the body lifting. No worries abt that.

She has also cut her first tooth! Yayers! Now da nmpk ade 2 teeth at bottom front side. No wonder she's been putting everything in her mouth. Ouch must b so painful kan.

Another thing I notice is this girl is really fond of labels and tags attached to the bedspread, napkins, pillowcases and etc. ESP for stuff bought from ikea, kan her labels very the besar sgt. Ha she loves to play with that and of course, followed by action of puting them in her mouth la.

And also she is one bubbly and friendly baby. So far alhamdulillah no signs of stranger anxiety spotted. I'm thankful for that. Hee. A few times when we were out for dinner, the waitresses offered to hold her while we ate n boy, she didn't mind it at all. 👏👏👏 tesengih2 jeee org ambik die.

Ok lai think that's all for now. Will surely continue later insyaAllah. Before I end, I'd like to wish everyone Happy Fasting May this holy month bring us closer to Allah. And let's fork out as much pahala as we can. InsyaAllah Amin. My major aims remain this year which to not miss terawikh and to khatam again. and of course with other additional ones. Trying my v best. InsyaAllah
Till then.

My little boss

Muka mentel kemaen ye. Ever since her recovery from demam, she's been so manja n clingy that she wants to b carried and held all the time! Oh nooo. That left mommy n daddy with so little time to do other things including vacuuming the house n mopping the floor. I hope this is only temporary or else fuhh we r going to live in very "clean" house. Hahah.

And one thing I notice lately is that it has been very. Yes. VERY difficult to put her to sleep. that included the napping sessions during daytime. She would cry her heart out before finally dozing off. I would carry n try to rock her all I can and yes it works sometimes but there r times where I feel like screaming n crying together with her. Simply because I just don't have the idea of what she wants/ doesn't want. huuu. it does test my patience but I'm trying my best to hold it coz I know she's just a baby and that's part of the skills that she has just acquired-- screaming n crying out loud that is. Hehe
Other than that, she's a good girl. Still loving her bath time, loves to smile n laugh, friendly n bubbly with strangers n never fails to put a smile on mommy daddy's face everyday. Alhamdulillah for that.

of vaccinations

Nuha had her 6th month injection yesterday. 2 weeks later than the actual date; simply because daddy had to wait for his paycheck (confirm 1k for vac) and mommy still traumatized due to last experience with fever after vaccination; I'm emotional like that. And did this time around, was hoping for things to be better or even better, no fever at all! But, Allah knows best. She is recovering from her fever but if course this time is better than the last time. Alhamdulillah. And mommy daddy are calmer this time. According to my nurse friend here, babies develop fever after vaccinations simply because their bodies are adapting with the "strangers" aka ubat yg being injected into their blood streams. So I guess it is not that bad. It shows that her body is giving signals concerning strangers coming inside. More like it, No?

On another note, Since baby is unwell, there is no going out or outing for us today to celebrate Father's Day. No worries celebration will follow suit later perhaps. Hehe. Happy Fathers Day to my husband, daddy of Nuha, my Abah and also to my father in law! We love you to bits!

Officially on solids!

Last 28 May marked her 6th month birthday and yay! Hello to solids! Mommy was excited and nervous at the same time. Weeks before, I started buying the necessary stuff the bowl, the spoon, the bibs, the storage jars n the likes at Toys R Us Sahara Mall. I chose Tommee Tippee Explora due to their attractive colours haha. Yeah I'm lame like that. Hihi. Was contemplating to get Beaba/Avent baby food processor and I ended buying Philips Food Processor haha. Speaking if being realistic as I heard baby won't b on puréed food for such a long time. Her first taste of puréed food was banana followed by carrot and now it's the apple. Of all three, so far, I could tell that she enjoys the apple the most. I guess because of its sweet taste. Too soon to tell but let's keep fingers crossed that her journey of "food tasting" will be a glorious one without dramas of food allergies, n other unknown reactions. InsyaAllah.

a place we call home

Alhamdulillah finally we have moved in to our humble home at BM Towers, Al Nahda, Sharjah. It is a fully furnished one bedroom apartment and alhamdulillah it is more than enough to accommodate our little family. Most of the furniture is from IKEA and I could not be happier. I can't wait to add my personal touch (chewah kunun) to our new place here. But it has to wait a little while as we need to settle other important matters first. No worries. Slowly but surely. 😄. So far we are enjoying life here and guess what ,DH's office is just the next tower. I bet it only takes 5mins ( including waiting for the elevator) to arrive home. Yayness! and baby Nuha is adapting well alhamdulillah. Very good this girl. I'm sure she will be surprised to know how her life revolves as a baby. Moving from one country to another, in fact; different continent altogether. Hehe. A colourful childhood I must say. And now, at 5months old,she can roll over on her own. She surprised us with her achievement few days before her 5th month birthday in which she woke up from her sleep just to mesmerize us with her new achievement and later fell back to sleep.such a cutie. and to date, she caught her first fever after her jabs on 20/4/2014. Daddy was on leave for Easter Day and we decided to taker her for check up. Little did we know that the doc suggested for 3 jabs that day with one oral vaccine of rotavirus. My poor baby. It was an unforgettable moment seeing my cheerful baby feeling and looking so weak and helpless. I did tepid sponging the entire night, gave her medicine which she hated so much; all in effort to reduce her body temp which was 39 degrees that eventful night. To make it worse, she just could not sleep. I could tell that she was definitely sleepy but her sickness prohibited her from doing so. Poor baby. but alhamdulillah things just got better the next day. She was able to get her sleep READ: rest that was really necessary to combat the fever. she was back to her normal self again. I felt so relieved and happy upon seeing her joyful face. Syukur thAt the fever went away. what an experience. Fuhh

Her first car

I am delighted to share with everyone about Nuha's first "car" after being stopped with one Indian man asking where did we get it. Proudly we said we bought it in Malaysia. Haha. Pdhl beli dkt Jakarta plus Malaysia. Yeah. The frame was bought in Jkt, the seat, the cover n cocoon were bought in KL. Had to buy separately as jkt (at that particular time) did not have the colour we wanted. After using the car aka stroller for 4months now, I am happy to say that it is indeed a great purchase. Even though the price is a bit on the higher side, it is seriously worth paying. It is very easy to maneuver, lightweight, and most importantly easy to handle, (Folding and unfolding; doesn't take much time) and of course; looks good too! Penting jgk tu kan. Hehe. Another thing is that it is compatible with maxi cosi cabriofix carrier and we did buy one as it does not only function as a carrier but also a carseat. Talking about safety, we did put our baby inside the carrier since her first few days of life during our trip back from the hospital.  As for the cocoon, it was used during our flight back fr Jkt to KL as we refused the bassinet and yup, baby slept comfortably in it throughout the entire journey. It has padded surface and suitable for newborns I would say. So yeah we r the proud owner of Bugaboo Bee + stroller 😜. Highly recommended and so far the only thing that I could comment is that it cannot hold the shopping bags. There is a space below the seat to place baby bag je la pun. But what about my shopping bagssss? Haha. If only they could do something to improve on that thing; it would be really great I tell u.

Weekenders we are

So this week marks our one month here in Sharjah. Well, if ppl were to ask me how is life, my answer would be, Alhamdulillah so far so good. We are still staying at our temporary accommodation provided by the company ; during the first three weeks it was Golden Tulip Sharjah and now we are at Ramada Hotel, Al Nahda and I gotta say I love the latter for many obvious reasons. One is because it's nearer to DH's office thus allowing him to come back for lunch break. Secondly, because it is way bigger, nicer, well-equipped and it has TV in the bedroom. ( so sesuai for lazy bum like me). And thirdly, I love its location as it is located opposite to Sahara Centre, a quite nice mall in Sharjah. Definition of nice here refers to the selection of stores they have haha. They have Zara for me; H&M, Mothercare, Crazy8, Thebabyshop, The Children's Place and Next UK for Nuha. Heheh. Byknye utk anak ye. See how the pattern has changed. You are my priority syg. No more " extensive" shopping for mommy. Hehe. Ok now I wanna share about what we did last weekend. For the first time ever, we got to spend our time in Dubai. Thanks to hubby's colleague, fellow Malaysians Amru and his wife, Nik for inviting us over to join them to Dubai. We went to visit the few most-visited places inDubai namely The Atlantis, Jumeirah beach, Medinat Jumeirah Souk and the Dubai Mall. All in all,I would say that it was an enjoyable trip and that surely deserves a repeat. Hehe. As for my baby, that marks her first beach experience as well. She got to step on the sand and of course air pantai!! Clap clap clap! At the souk, we did nothing much only snapped some photos ( as evidence that we have been there, haha). After the gentlemen finished their Jumaat prayer, we headed to the Dubai Mall and had our lunch there. We also the decided to experience the Underwater Zoo there. While queuing for the tickets,we were approached by these matsallehs offering their voucher. Although the voucher dated 29th January but we decided to have a try. Lucky us, they accepted the reason."We missed it". It was rizq after all. We got to enter the place for free yaww! That saved 90dhs each for adults. Alhamdulillah. Of course Nuha is still small to savour the moments. Mommydaddy die jela yg over. Hehehe. She was asleep most of the time. Hehe. So here goes the pictures.

A walk in the park

I always have a soft spot for parks. When we visited Perth we had the chance to visit King's Park and I must say that I love it to bits; so serene and breathtakingly beautiful. I always have the imagination of bringing my children strolling  or me goes jogging at the park etc etc. but of course kt KL the weather does not permit la kan nk feeling2 mcmtu. And guess what Allah has an undeniably superb plan for me- to experience and enjoy those parks. Here in UAE, they love to do activities like picnic-ing, cycling, and lepak-ing at the park both in the morning and evening. And since summer is approaching I guess everybody is taking the last bits and pieces to enjoy the nice weather before welcoming the scorching hot weather soon. I've been to Al Majaz park thrice during our 3-week-stay at Golden Tulip Sharjah. The park is wonderful as it is nearby to Al Majaz Waterfront which offers beautiful dancing fountain shows at night and most importantly it has nice cafés nearby for coffee session! Hehe. Bonus point there. Can always drop by athe cafe after da penat stroll kan.hehe. Typical me and my hubby's activity. I can't wait to explore more parks here in UAE with DH and si kecik Nuha.

4th month birthday

Alhamdulillah Nuha Zareera is 4months young today. One easy baby, she is. (Mak mstla puji anak dia dark??hehe). Her milestones:
1. She could respond when we call her by names. Smiling all the way la biasenye.

2. She loves babbling in her own language.

3. She really knows how to make faces. Ni sah ikut talent mommy. For instance, whenever she's not in her mood for pictures-snapping-sessions, mmg terserlah la muke mls nk cooperate. Attitude sgt muke tu nak oii. Gigit peha KFC br tau!

4. She is definitely a daddy's girl. As much as I am hoping n wishing to have a lookalike, I have to admit that she resembles her daddy better than her mommy. But to be on the safer side, daddy loves to say that it is a combination ( of course la kan tepuk sebelah tgn x bunyik. Haha). She loves being with her daddy. Nk susu je cari mommy. Ish ish. Gelak mengekek2 ngn daddy. Guess mommy is not fun enough. Hahaha.
5. She has started to move in her sleep. It is common nowadays for her to wake up without pillow on n the position has also changed from horizontal jd vertical. And there was this one night I was awaken by  a painful kick from her on my tummy. At first I thought I was dreaming. Skt gile kot. I woke up just to notice that die da tido melintang n that was her kaki yg kicked me. Ikut sapa la ni. Mommy tido behave je tau.
6. attempted nk turn but not yet successful. It's ok darling. Take your time. No worries k.

7. She has started to react to sounds. Mcm bz body pun ade. Hehe. Whenever I am breast feeding her, and suddenly her daddy coughed, haa siap stop minum n nak usha.

8. Clearly she has started to understand her mommy better. She does cooperate with me whenever I tell her that I need to do laundry, take my shower n even perform my prayers. Usually I would put her on the bed with the door of the bathroom open to monitor her while doing my activities. And for solat, I would out her on the praying mat next to me. So far so good. Bole la solat dgn tenang. Sometimes, when dia tgh tantrums, I will talk to her nicely, ckp mommy has to pray. Mommy nk doa dkt Allah. Dia sengih2 mcm laa phm kan. But seriously it works for me.

9. She dislikes strong wind. Last week, the weather was not stable. Kejap pns and then sejuk. So we opted to bring her out to feel the cold weather. Boy, it was a wrong decision as she really hates it. She was cranky during dinner n cried her heart out. As usual mommy daddy pun x feeling comfortable coz we afraid that some pplmight feel offended with her loud voice kan. Mkn cpt2 n off we went back. Drama queen sungguh. Balik bilik ok jeeee. Hadoii.

8.she dislikes darkness. We have concluded that she x suka dark environment. We attempted to bring her to enjoy the dancing fountain show at Al Majaz Waterfront ( mommydaddy yg nk tgk jgk act. Hee) and guess what she cried n cried out loud! I tried to coax her with my b***s pun gagal.  Xdapekla ber fountain show heheh.

Fuhh da panjang lah.

Okbai.

Till then.

NuhaZareera at 3months and half! Love u lil munchkin. Funny thing , I whatsapp-ed this pic to my Aunty in KB. And guess what her response was " oh bijok dr kakchik ni" insyaAllah. I started reading newspaper at the age of 4 and I'm hoping that Nuha will be able to achieve the same thing ( reading at the age of 4) or maybe earlier. Sounds awesome! Hehehe. InsyaAllah. Nothing is impossible unless we make it impossible. And yeah can't wait for tomorrow to end coz that means it's weekends again- quality time with hubby dearest and darling Nuha of course! Will b celebrating her 4th month bday this Friday! Duhh time does fly. Till then. Daaa

MH370

Allahuakbar! That was the first word that came out from my mouth upon hearing. err reading the newsfeed on fb regarding the press conference by our PM. It was announced that the plane ended in Indian Ocean, Western Australia and sad to say, there were no survivors. I've got goosebumps all over my body and my mind just could not function thinking about it. That was not what I have been wanting to hear. Seriously. Deep inside I've been hoping that it was a hijack and that all the passengers n crew on board the flight will be found safe n sound. I've been telling myself that hence I did not quite worry about the incident. I believe the plane is somewhere waiting for the right time to be exposed. MasyaAllah. Allah Maha Kaya Maha Besar. Only He knows what has happened to the flight and its passengers. Al fatihah and RIP MH370. My love, thought and prayer goes to them. Amin.

Diapers Review

NuhaZareera has been a loyal user of MamyPoko tape diapers since she was born. I don't have any problems with the diaper. In fact, I'm loving it as it does not give any headaches at all. Most importantly it does not give my baby's bum any red marks or itchiness and the absorption level is equally good. There were 2 times that we encountered leakage of her diaper but that was truly our fault. One time it was me who carelessly sealed the tape loose and another time was the diarrhea that caused her to poop like A LOT! Other than that, it works like a charm to me and of course, my baby. Alhamdulillah. My nightmare began when it was time to replenish her stock of diapers. Seriously I have no idea that MamyPoko is not sold in the entire UAE. My bad. I didn't do my research and I thought it is sold worldwide. Therefore, we decided to try a small pack of Pampers for ActiveBaby as a start. For the first one week, it worked just fine and I kinda love the colourful patterns they have and on top of that it is said to have this aloe Vera thingy and oh I'm bought! Haha. So we bought a large pack of 88 pieces later just to find that my baby is not coping well with it. She started to develop the red marks on her bum and I know for sure it's the diaper rashes. FYI,I have been religiously applying the Earth Mama Angel Baby Bottom Balm every nappy change hoping that it will subside but I'm surprised that it did not want to go away. There goes my miracle jar! Thank God I still have the MamyPoko pull up pants that I plan to use when she starts crawling so I used them on her. I could see it's improving. Alhamdulillah. Then I read on the internet that there was one mother who applied bedak every time she changes her baby's diaper so I attempted. and guess what, after a day using the method of applying the powder n of course the angel baby bottom balm; the rash seems to disappear. Alhamdulillah. Dgn izin Allah, both products work well for me. I'm a happy mommy.

Sleeping habits

Ever since we came back for good from Jakarta to KL (for one month holiday), I could say that NZ's sleeping pattern has gone haywire. During the first two weeks I guess it was still ok but the following weeks was not convincing. This was definitely due to our neverending outings during day n night time. Nevertheless we had to oblige to family commitments, meetings friends, relatives and whatnots. I was ok as I guess that would be her very first meeting with everyone so why not. We can always readjust her sleeping patterns later. And guess what the haywire-ness continues here; in Sharjah. There were nights where she slept at 8pm, woke up at 10 and it took her 2hours plus to get back to sleep. The following night she woke up at 11 and slept at 1.15 am. Oh dear. To me yg jarang berjaga unless for feeding time, it was horrible. I was super sleepy but of course nk let her play alone mcm kesian; nk kejut DH lgla nonsense as he needed to wake up for work some more. So I gagahkan diri jgk ( smbil terlelap few times) to accompany her while hoping that she got sleepy soon.he he. But come to think of it, I guess I am fortunate bcoz there r mothers who need to stay up w their babies at night. Alhamdulillah for that. Br 2 mlm da kecoh . Heh. And now I'm trying to re-establish her sleeping patterns. By 10pm, I will bring her in the bedroom, play n talk w her n offer her my b***s n teman her to sleep. Alhamdulillah so far nampak ade sinar2 kejayaan Di situ. Hehe. Hopefully it lasts. Amin. InsyaAllah

of Nuha Zareera

Alhamdulillah praise to Allah that my little one is approaching her 4th month in a week time. Syukur Ya Allah for granting and permitting me to experience the wonders of being a mom. I must say that babies do grow quickly that whenever I browse through her pictures since her Day 1 of life, it brings tears to my eyes. Allah's creation is amazing. MasyaAllah. So far I am enjoying my life as SAHM so much. It allows me to spend my days observing how my baby grows, witness her developments and achievements and whatnots. Alhamdulillah she is still exclusively breastfed; to be precise direct fed. hehe. Tried to introduce her to bottle but I cannot tahan seeing her drinking from bottle that I choose not to continue. hehe. clingy mommy I am. So far, her developments are at par with her age ( I frequently refer to BabyCenter.com for this). She smiles, giggles and laughs a lot. Her head is stronger and she loves to be in upright position rather than baring2. She also loves to talk (in her own language) and definitely loves listening to her mommy doing the talking business. haha. Attempted to turn on her own already. Clap!Clap!Clap! And of course she has gained kilos ever since she was brought into this wide world. So lenguh to carry her around for a long period of time. Nevertheless, that surely does not stop me from carrying her around and seriously I am not surprised if I were to build muscles later. hehe. Mommy's arms mmg sedia gemuk. lagilaa ade muscle kan. takpela. anything for u anak. hehe. to end this post. sila layan pics my lil angel, Nuha Zareera @NZ

March already?

Well. i am not surprised. I am so bad at maintaining blog. really i am. This is my hmm  4th,5th?(lost count) times of having a blog but it is unfortunate that it results to the same outcome. haha. Oh nway. I have few things to share. First and foremost, my nuha zareera is now 3months and half young. She has grown so well that i could not believe she was that lilttle petite girl that i first met on 28th nov 2013. She really keeps me occupied and i just cant get enough of her. Such a great gift from Allah to us. Alhamdulillah.

Secondly, we are no longer in Jakarta. DH officially ended his contract term there last February.

Thirdly, we are currently in Sharjah, UAE! The details will follow soon. Hopefully. heheh
